According to the latest survey from the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), 39% of adults in the United States admit to flossing while they’re in the car. I am always happy when my patients floss but in the car PLEASE do so when you are the passenger or the car is stopped. I don’t want anyone cited for distracted driving because of flossing. My colleagues and I have been maligned in many ways, even flushing poor Nemo down the drain, don’t add auto accidents to the list!
